Cognac complements the nutty, fruity, or chocolate flavours of coffee and is an ideal accompaniment to desserts. So a collaboration between the versatile Martell Cognac and cafe-bar Barcode is a no-brainer. From now until the first week of October, Gagan Gurung and the talented Barcode bartenders have crafted four signature cocktails ($130 each) using Martell Cognac, including boozy desserts that anyone with a sweet tooth will enjoy. Highlights from the menu include a croissant sour made with a croissant-infused Martell and a Swift Old Fashioned made with Chinese red dates infused Martell and coffee hydrosol, presented in unique drinking vessels that your 'gram will surely love. Desserts include strawberry mille-feuille ($100) and chocolate with salted caramel ($100) made with Martell Noblige.
For something to jolt you awake, they are also offering a swift coffee ($50) with a shot of Martell Noblige. Barcode's hidden bar has limited seats, so come by 6pm to secure a spot and enjoy the cool pop-up design that glows under black light.
This month, Barcode is also launching new cocktails on its menu ($130 each). New sips include the savoury Under the Sea, made with redistilled oyster vodka, cherry tomato, basil, citrus and sea salt; and an Instagrammable Beyond the Clouds made with croissant-infused vodka, strawberry jam, citrus, topped with a fluffy cotton candy that acts as the drink sweetener.
