Booked to play their first ever Hong Kong show on July 10 at MOM Live House, Anglo-Antipodean quartet Splashh are often portrayed as lo-fi at heart, wearing a veneer of summery aspiration. Their brand of indie conservatism was perfected just this April with the release of Waiting a Lifetime, something of a masterclass in bittersweet indie melancholy. It's a formula that makes for a band that's instantly accessible, intuitive and fun to listen to, while hiding a satisfying dourness if you scratch beneath the surface.
