American/Dutch label Khemestry clearly think we in Hong Kong are missing out on that stable of 17th century European society – masquerade parties. As such, they’ve kindly decided to bring the concept to our shores, with a modern twist to boot. The idea is largely the same: rock up in a mask and enjoy an evening of delightful socialising with a modicum of anonymity. Except here in the 21st century there’ll be banging tunes as opposed to... a harpsichord?
Top billing on the decks is Beatport Top 10 DJ/producer D’Ray, who will be spinning a range of deep, dirty, sexy house tunes and floor-fillers that don’t skimp on the bass.
