Think you have what it takes to finish one of Hong Kong’s biggest burgers in under 15 minutes? This is no ordinary burger.  It's an eight-layered juicy beef patty with piles of toppings. Pop along to Burger Joys in Wan Chai on June 4 as they celebrate their second anniversary and take part in Hong Kong’s supposedly first burger-eating competition.

The eating challenge is split into male and female divisions. In each division, 12 selected contestants go head to head to devour Burger Joys’ special octo-patty burger, with the winner taking home $1,000 cash, a $500 Burger Joy’s coupon, exclusive merch, and of course, bragging rights with a side of heart attack. Don't think you got a chance to win? Join anyways as all selected participants will receive a $200 cash coupon.

A hot wings challenge will also take place at the same time for all the chicken wing lovers. You only need to chow down the most amount of hot wings in under four minutes to win $500 cash and a $500 coupon. Sounds easy enough, right?

Even if you’re not taking part in the challenges, it’ll be fun to watch people trying to shove food into their mouths and possibly, hurl. Enjoy free-flow draught beer and music at this Sunday afternoon block party as the competition kicks off at 3pm. Check this event page for updates on how to sign up.
