Hong Kong Ballet presents a classic French tale
HK Ballet brings us the Asian premiere of renowned choreographer Val Caniparoli's adaptation of the 1848 French novel La Dame aux Camélias, which was also the inspiration for Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata and no less than three films in the 20th century. The story centres around the tragically ill courtesan Marguerite Gautier, a young bourgeois man named Armand Duval and the ensuing romance between the two across class divides.
