If you’re keen to find out about the illustrious history of our city’s penal system, you’ve come to the right place. Spanning over more than 170 years of history in Hong Kong, the museum dives into the major reforms and developments that took place in response to the economic, political, judicial and social changes of Hong Kong at different points of time. Boasting 480 sq m, explore a collection made up of 600 artefacts in the galleries as well as mock gallows, cells and a mock guard tower, and rejoice that public hangings are no longer a common past time anymore.
