The Hong Kong Philharmonic proudly presents Sunny Beethoven - Epic Shostakovich, part of The Macallan Bravo Series. The HK Phil is performing two stunning works: Beethoven’s intricate Triple Concerto and Shostakovich’s wartime epic Symphony No.8.
Wielding the baton is the Phil’s very own Jaap van Zweden who, starting with the 2018/19 season, is soon to be music director of the New York Philharmonic as well. Joining him for the Triple Concerto are guests the Storioni Trio, leading experts in works for piano trios, whether classical or contemporary. Leading the way on Shostakovich’s work is our very own Hong Kong Philharmonic. A must for any fans of classical music!
