Is your liver up to the challenge?

For the second year in a row, Macau has been chosen to host the Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony, and you know what this means: scores of bartenders from the region’s best bars descending into our city before and after their sojourn into our sister SAR. Bars all over Hong Kong will be hosting their industry friends on guest shifts, which is a great way to taste drinks from Asian destinations that aren’t on your to-visit list. Get swept up in the A50BB wave – here are the guest shifts we’ll most likely be at!
Singapore’s Sago House will be guesting in Eaton HK, bringing a taste of the vibrant Duxton Hill enclave to Hong Kong. They’re known for their weekly rotating cocktail menu inspired by seasonal ingredients and local market finds.
When: 7pm
Minguk, the co-founder of Seoul’s highly acclaimed Pine & Co., will be whipping up drinks at The St. Regis Hong Kong. His mixology approach leans towards culinary tastes, using various equipment and techniques to extract pure, unexpected flavours.

Soho’s best-known hidden bar is hosting AABBCC from New Delhi, a concept laboratory that serves up drinks with experimental mixology. Have you ever tasted a cocktail made with honey-bred black ants, for instance?

Night Hawk from Singapore and Good Friends Club from Penang join hands for a night of exceptional craftsmanship, regional flavors, and warm hospitality to celebrate the diversity of southeast Asia’s cocktail scene.

Gavin Teverasen from Singapore’s Bar Middle is heading behind Dead Poet’s morgue slab with a blend of high-energy American-style cocktails made with the deliberate precision of Japanese techniques.

The Golden Tooth, a speakeasy concept from south Jakarta will be taking over The Old Man for one night. Expect creative craft mixology with approachable, humorous energy from Kenny Seotono and Reyhan Gymnastiar.

Kerry Hotel is hosting The SG Club from Tokyo for one night, where head bartender Ryota Tokumitsu will showcase world-class Japanese mixology with four limited-edition cocktails. We’re looking forward to the freshly savoury Tomato Tree and the Tokyo Banana Sour.

A powerhouse duo of award-winning bar figures from Singapore’s Burnt Ends Bar takes the floor. The restaurant Burnt Ends currently holds a Michelin star and has been ranked No. 38 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list.

The night after the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 awards, Eaton HK is hosting one of the world’s most acclaimed bars, Moebius from Milan, which is currently ranked No. 7 on The World’s 50 Best Bars. Founder Lorenzo Querci will be joined by Andrea Giraldo, bringing the bar’s cocktail programme to Hong Kong for one night only.

Dominic Dijkstra from Canes and Tales bar in the Waldorf Astoria Osaka is popping up with a selection of the Japan bar’s best cocktails from their ‘Tales of the Jazz Age’ menu, which is inspired by Fitzgerald’s collection of short stories.

JJ Lim from South Korea’s M+MS takes over Dead Poets for the night; he is also the founder of the well-known Le Chamber. If you’ve always wanted to try drinks from this cocktail legend, here’s your chance.

Head up to Cassio to find one of Vietnam’s best bars, Stir, which has been playing a key role in spotlighting the country’s modern cocktail scene.

This university common room-themed bar on Peel Street welcomes mixology pioneer Nico de Soto for the night, representing three of his global bars: Mace in New York, Danico in Paris, and Wacky Wombat in London. de Soto is a bar legend whose projects have been ranked on several Best Bars lists, so we’re definitely looking forward to this.
