Following the popularity of the forthcoming Cats production, which has added extra dates due to demand, and Starlight Express back in 2013, Hong Kong is setting the stage for another of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s critically acclaimed productions: Evita.

Being performed at Wan Chai’s Academy for Performing Arts from 11 May to 3 June, you no longer have to cry for Argentina to see the award-winning musical.

The iconic show follows the story of Eva Perón, the wife of Argentine dictator Juan Perón, and her rise to power, eventually becoming the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’. Most people are probably familiar with the tale thanks to the 1996 film adaptation starring Madonna as Eva and Antonio Banderas as Che Guevara.

Expect thrilling performances featuring well-loved ballads like You Must Love Me, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, and of course, Don’t Cry for Me Argentina

Tickets go on general sale from 9 January with standard tickets prices starting from $445. Mark the date in your calendar!
