Causeway Bay’s newest bar is full of high tech wizardry

If you think Hong Kong bars are too stuffy or plain, Causeway Bay’s latest opening might be just what you’re after.

Shaking things up in Fashion Walk, The Artist House is a new bar and coffeeshop by craft beer company The Artist. The location touts a number of fancy features including an infusion-based microbrewery that supposedly lets drinkers customise their beer, a fragrance lab where you can tweak your beer’s aroma, a hydroponic aqua-farm and much more. If it’s too early for a beer, the coffee is equally fancy with farm-to-cup beans and a cold brewing systems all in place. And if you’re peckish, there are intriguing-sounding pastries ‘based on craft beer ingredients’. Did we mention there are bean bags too? Very Google-esque – now that’s high tech.

If you’re curious to check the place out in person, just beware: The Artist House currently closes at 6pm and isn’t open on weekends. Be sure to plan accordingly.
