Have your wings ready – a Victoria’s Secret flagship store is finally opening in Hong Kong

It was a sad day when Forever 21 closed its massive 50,000sq ft store in the heart of Causeway Bay back in November 2016 (because where else can young Hongkongers – and old folk trying to dress like a 21-year-old – shop for cheap outfits in a jam-packed claustrophobic location?). But news of Victoria’s Secret taking over the six-storey location to open its first flagship store in Hong Kong has helped soothe the pain.

Well, the secret’s out and the wait is over as it’s been officially announced that the popular lingerie brand is to open its doors on Jardine’s Bazaar next Tuesday, on July 17. And unlike all the other branches in town, the flagship store actually offers – gasp – lingerie, instead of just perfumes and body care. Expect to get your hands on collections like Body by Victoria, Very Sexy, Dream Angels, Bombshell and cotton lingerie as well as Victoria Sport.

And to celebrate the big opening, Victoria’s Secret has collaborated with local artists Elaine Chiu and Elsa Jeandedieu to create angel wings graffiti. You can find it on Aberdeen Street (opposite PMQ) and Sai Street in Sheung Wan. Go on – grab a selfie with it, you know you want to.
