Founded over their shared love for this finely grounded green tea powder, cousins duo Cara and Lara work directly with a fifth-generation tea-processing facility in Uji, Kyoto, a place that is known to be the birthplace and capital of matcha.
Offering up all your favourite classic drinks with a modern twist, Matchali focuses on the beauty of ceremonial-grade matcha through healthy, handcrafted drinks made using natural sweeteners, tried-and-tested plant-based milk alternatives, and even health boosters such as collagen add-ins.

The menu at Matchali may be small, but each item is just as impressive as the next. The star of the show is the Starburst Matcha ($65). Made with a mango and raspberry fruit base, mixed with pea-milk and topped off with hand-whisked matcha, every sip of this beautifully layered drink is bursting with flavours. Or if zesty is the way to go for you, another must-try is the Purple Lemonade Matcha ($65), which marries matcha with pea-flower lemonade and is filled to the brim with antioxidants.

If you’re looking for something a little more mellow. The Grey Latte ($65) made from black sesame, activated charcoal, cashew cream, and of course, a shot of matcha goodness goes down smooth and helps absorbs toxins while cleansing the system. Another one of our favourites that we’ve been drinking this winter is the Gold Latte ($50).
