Hong Kong’s first mini golf club has just opened

Beer pong is so last year. Looking for the hot new sport to play with your mates? Then you’re in luck as Strokes, the city’s ‘first mini golf club’, has just opened in Causeway Bay.

Newly opened in Fashion Walk, the 8,000sq ft venue comes with two nine-hole mini golf courses complete with bright pastel colours and retro Californian aesthetics. Put your putting skills to the test by overcoming 360-degree loop-the-loops, bridges, ball jumps, tunnels, winding passages and ramps throughout the course, then kick back with a couple of drinks beneath palms trees and neon lights.

Want some healthy nibbles while you hit the greens? Strokes is actually more than just a mini golf course, even if that’s undoubtedly the star attraction, since the venue also features a specialty restaurant offering healthy and low-carb dishes including a cauliflower burger, protein bowls and fruit tea. Though, there’s also fried chicken and waffles if you want to kick that New Year’s diet thing early. And if you want to keep the party going after mini golf, wind down with cocktails concocted by award-winning mixologist Frankie Fong as well as a small selection of craft beers.

The place is still in soft opening – the grand opening isn’t expected until the end of the month – so there are still some kinks to be worked out, but if you’re looking to change up your clubbing routine for 2018, look no further. We’ll return and review Strokes following that official opening, so watch this space.
