Durian lovers, your time has finally come. Hotel Icon is bringing back their Malaysian Durian Festival this year to once again celebrate the king of all fruits!

Every Sunday from August 9 to August 30, durian aficionados can enjoy an extensive durian-themed menu at the hotel’s Silverbox Ballroom, as well as their regular buffet selection. This year's dishes will use D197 Musang King, D24, D101, Black Thorn, and the chef recommended D88, all of which are freshly imported from Malaysia.

We really meant it when we said that the durian-themed menu was extensive – highlights from the festival’s offerings include a creamy durian pulut tai tai dessert, nourishing double-boiled durian chicken soup (yup, that's a thing), rich, crunchy baked crab shell stuffed with durian, and even durian deep-fried squid.

And, if you still want more durian in your life, guests can visit various interactive booths and embark on a virtual tour led by executive pastry chef and Malaysia native Danny Ho to bring home various durian goodies, including a whole D197 Musang King, a box of durian mooncakes, and even the forbidden D24 durian egg roll.
