It’s been seven years, but he promised he wouldn’t give up on us

There are some voices that can instantly transport you back to the mid-2000s, and Jason Mraz is certainly one of them. If you’ve been craving for a hit of acoustic nostalgia, you’ll be glad to hear that the two-time Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter has officially confirmed a Hong Kong stop as part of his upcoming 2026 Asia tour, bringing his laidback, mellow sound to the city this November.
For anyone who grew up in the late noughties within earshot of a radio, Mraz’s tunes were inescapable. He spent years promising he “won’t give up” on us, and between the catchy guitar strums and those easy-going vibes, he basically perfected the art of the feel-good singalong. And now, after being seven years away, Mraz is finally heading back to the city for a one-night performance on November 4 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
While the setlist remains a surprise for now, it’s a safe bet that the crowd will be holding out for big hits like I’m Yours, I Won’t Give Up, and Lucky. It’s not just about the throwback, though. Concertgoers will likely get to hear a funkier sound that Mraz has been exploring lately, particularly from his 2023 album ‘Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride’. Plus, with his new album ‘Grandma’s Gospel Favorites’ dropping on May 8, there might be a few soulful, unexpected additions to the set.
If you’re looking to secure a spot, tickets go on sale via URBTIX at 12pm on May 30, with price announcements still to come. If his music was the backdrop to your younger years, this is your chance to experience those songs live – hesitate no more, no more.
