If you appreciate the series of nostalgic clubbing nights made for millennials that have been happening recently, but the alt kid in you was low-key scoffing at the 2000s chart toppers, we’ve got just the thing that’ll convince you to join us on the dancefloor.
The Riot Act edition of No Curfew Club presents a night for the revival of punk rock. Each hour of the event will focus on a different genre to cater to everyone’s mood. Alt-rock and acoustic jams from Coldplay, Hoobastank, Incubus, and more will warm up the speakers at 5pm, followed by high-energy pop-punk anthems from 6pm – think bangers by Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne, and Blink-182!
The next hour might just see us crying a mascara-laden tear or two with alt-rock and nu-metal tracks from Linkin Park, Evanescence, Nickelback, and System of a Down. Finally, from 8pm onwards, we’ll be treated to peak emo and rock bangers by My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Paramore before our voices give out. If you haven’t screamed yourself hoarse by the end of the night, you’re definitely not doing it right.
Jen Queen and Nicole Slater from The Pontiac will be there behind the bar to jack up the rock n’ roll party vibes to the max, and knowing these two there will probably be lots of layback shots and tabletop stomping. Head to Aer on Saturday, October 17 to join what’s sure to be the ultimate throwback party.
Early-bird tickets to No Curfew Club are currently on sale for $250 until sold out, followed by general admission for $350, and last-minute tickets for $380. Tickets include one burger and one drink to keep you on your feet. Go on, dig out your Converse high-tops, studded belts, band tees, and be prepared to sweep your fringe to the side and go heavy on the eyeliner!
