Shake Shack to open second location at Pacific Place

If you’ve been to Pacific Place recently, you might have noticed the mysterious black hoarding announcing a new store right beside Shanghai Tang. We've received news that the space is set to be occupied by none other than Shake Shack – the cult favourite fast food chain known for its Shackburgers, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes.

Slated to open in October, the Pacific Place location is the second in Hong Kong for the burger titan, who partnered up with Maxim’s and launched its first local store at the IFC roof garden earlier this year. The Central branch opened its doors to more than 300 hungry Hongkongers on its first day and has remained extremely popular since with wait times clocking in at over half-an-hour during peak hours. Hopefully this second branch helps disperse the crowds. The PP store is also located close to the AMC Cinema, so it’ll be easy to grab a bite the next time you’re at the movies. Aside from this new Shake Shack store, also look out for Hong Kong's very first Five Guys, opening later in the year.
