Dim Sum Icon is back at it again. Just when you thought they’ve run out of ideas after rolling out Spongebob Squarepants and Sailor Moon-themed dim sum – who could forget the Spongebob spongecake and Cosmic Heart french toast? – the popular, gimmicky eatery has introduced a new menu that taps into our childhood memories: Cardcaptor Sakura-themed dim sum.
Available between now until July 15, some of the more photogenic dishes include the steamed egg custard buns ($35) in the shape of Kero complete with perky ears, Japanese rolled omelette ($49) with a Taoist talisman printed on it – you know, that thing Syaoran flings out all the time to catch the magical cards – and mango sticky rice ($69) with the rice shaped and coloured like a yin-yang symbol.
That’s not all. You also get to take home a Cardcaptor Sakura table mat and gorgeously printed fan as well. So if you need your fix as you wait for the new season of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, you know where to go.
