Got any Friday night plans? Doesn’t matter – cancel ’em as the Geminid Meteor Shower – said to be the brightest and most spectacular meteor shower of the year – is taking place tomorrow night starting from 7.30pm.

If you missed out on the last Perseid meteor shower back in August, here’s an even better opportunity to marvel at the heavens. Visible to the naked eye, the shower should be most radiant around 8.30pm and will be occupying the skies until sunrise the next morning.

For the best view possible, we suggest heading out into the countryside and away from the city’s light pollution if you want to enjoy the wonders of the cosmos. Here’s our stargazing guide to tell you all you need to know.
