Agnès b. Galerie Boutique is showcasing the works of Pierre René-Worms. It’s the first solo exhibition in Hong Kong for the photographer, who is best known for his images – often taken on his Asahi Pentax – of the budding new wave music scene of the late 1970s and early 80s. The exhibition highlights 40 images from René-Worms’ career and features some of the most important names from that era, including Joy Division, U2, Talking Heads and Blondie. Aside from capturing the unbridled energy of these acts while they were onstage, René-Worms’ photographs also offer a glimpse into the honest, everyday lives of some of his rock-star subjects.

The exhibition will run at Agnès b.’s K11 venue from September 15 to January 6. Whether you’re an 80s pop-culture nerd or are just interested in checking out photos of famous people, this is one exhibition that’s worth visiting.
