There’s a Yardbird x Sour pop-up coming next week

Hong Kong’s hippest restaurant is about to get even cooler next week. Yardbird, now properly settled into its new digs along Wing Lok Street, is welcoming Japanese bar Sour to take over the drinks side of operations for two nights next week.

The Kyoto establishment specialises in highballs – a fixture on Yardbird’s menu from day one – but not just any highballs. What’s set Sour apart is its use of rice shochu (rather than whisky) and the inclusion of fresh fruit and herbs, including such unusual combinations as lemon mint, banana sudachi, and kumquat apple. Both evenings dinner will operate as normal – so you can still get your favourite sweet corn tempura and meatballs – it’s just the drinks menu that’ll feature a special supplement. The event’s free and there’s no need to RSVP, so be sure to check it out.
