Packed with games, exclusive merch, rare artwork, and plenty of photo ops

The toys are officially back in town, and they’re staging a full-scale takeover of Harbour City! To celebrate the release of Toy Story 5, the shopping complex has been transformed into a massive summer carnival titled ‘Forever Toys @Harbour City’, bringing the magic of the movies straight to the waterfront from now until August 31.
The first port of call for visitors has to be the outdoor playroom at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt, where two-metre-tall sculptures of Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye welcome the crowds before they walk through a blinking tunnel inspired by the new Lilypad tablet character. Moving past the tunnel, guests can tackle four interactive games inspired by beloved characters from the animated franchise, including a Western-themed ring toss game and a memory-based electronic game. To participate, visitors simply need to make a $60 donation to receive a game card. There are themed prizes at each zone, and completing all four challenges will get you a special reward.
The spectacle continues upstairs on the terrace at the Ocean Terminal Deck, where a towering 4.5-metre-tall Buzz Lightyear installation is set against the stunning backdrop of the city’s skyline. Right next to the giant space ranger on the lawn, Hong Kong Disneyland has extended its own celebrations with a trio of vibrant displays. Visitors can cool off inside a water-splashing parade float, explore a four-metre-tall block castle, or pose with a colourful installation inspired by the park’s RC Racer attraction. True fans should also mark their diaries for July 19, as Buzz and Jessie will be making a special, one-day-only appearance for meet-and-greets between 1pm and 5.30pm.
For a complete change of pace, gearheads and collectors should make a pit stop at Gateway Arcade, where Tarmac Works has released a Hong Kong-exclusive 1:1 scale Buzz Lightyear-themed LB-Kaido Works R32 Skyline show car, along with a giant human-sized Buzz Lightyear toy packaging box that you can step inside for a fun photo-op.
Fans looking to get their hands on some merch should make their way over to the official pop-up store packed with more than 800 themed collectables, alongside a DIY zone where you can customise your own crystal bracelets and mini figure bottles. For those interested in the creative process behind the animation, Gallery by the Harbour is hosting an exhibition featuring rare production artwork spanning from early pencil sketches to storyboards and character concept designs.
All proceeds from the event (after deducting costs) will be donated to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong, meaning you can celebrate your favourite childhood heroes while supporting a brilliant cause.
