Emerging as one the UK’s brightest talents at the tender age of 17 with his eponymous debut album, Jake Bugg, now a veteran 24-year-old, is coming to Hong Kong’s 1563 at the East on May 5. The young singer-songwriter belied his youth on his debut by demonstrating incredible ability in crafting not only emotionally-charged acoustic tracks like Country Song and Someone Told Me, but a deftness with material that leans into country, blues and indie rock with the likes of Lightning Bolt and Two Fingers.

It’s a testament to the youngster’s ability that he already has four studio albums and countless festival appearances under his belt. A listen through Bugg’s back catalogue (which we heartily recommend) only confirms the likelihood of the young Brit’s staying power and increasing confidence in a sound that started with comparisons to legends like Bob Dylan and Neil Young but is now very much his own.

Tickets go on sale March 7 and you can grab them here.
