[title]Live music with a twist is something that will always get our attention at Time Out, and W Hong Kong's new WOO STUDIO series certainly falls into that category. W Hong Kong’s music curator, Olivia Dawn, has gone delightfully out of left field by bringing two of famed Ibiza club, Hed Kandi's, residents to town by way of Lovely Laura and DJ partner Ben Santiago, the two of whom will be collaborating with Dawn and DJ Has for a night of live music and saxophonic beats, with tickets available via ticketflap now.
Woodwind savant and vocalist (in the same way that angels are vocalists), Lovely Laura, has reached pandemic levels of viral internet stardom with videos of her performances in Ibiza reaching over 50 million views. So, expect blistering sets that combine live saxophone and live... beats – as Ben presses play on the beats, live – delivering a big club experience in the intimate surrounds of the lovely W Hong Kong's WOOBAR that will make you think, 'pffftttt Ibiza, who needs it?' Probably.
