Time Out says

Named after the year the first recorded Chinese restaurant opened its doors in Britain (which was apparently called 'The Chinese Restaurant' on Glasshouse Street in Piccadilly Circus, London), 1908bc offers a modern take on British Chinese food. We're talking about crispy aromatic duck, deep-fried chicken balls, chop suey, prawn toast, and even a plate of classic chips with curry sauce. Yes, for those who didn't grow up in the UK, this was an incredibly popular Chinese takeaway item that is still loved by many. The restaurant is located in The Pemberton in Sheung Wan and offers an elegant space with a warm, casual vibe with very friendly staff.
