Located on the enviable seventh floor of LKF Tower, Hong Kong’s party central, the tapas joint has a hip ‘anything goes’ feel about it. Soft wooden tables and chairs fill the space and cool open bulbs hang from the ceilings. Styled almost exactly like its famous NYC flagship, with pleasant open kitchens, bar counters and a semi-intimate private room for larger parties, Boqueria brings an authentic Barcelonian experience to town with plates of chef David Izquierdo’s beloved beef and potato croquettes smothered in garlic aioli ($88), platters of sizzling shrimp in olive oil and sides of sautéed wild mushrooms mixed with Manchego cheese.
