Highlights from La Table French Brasserie's set lunch

Cheese Platter

Cheese Platter

This generous cheese platter is one of the rotating daily specials from The Table appetiser option. Fromage fans will be happy to know that there are several varieties on offer. The selection changes regularly and may include anything from a mild and creamy brie to a funky roquefort.

Seafood cocktail

Another rotating daily special from the all-you-can-eat appetiser option, this zingy and refreshing seafood cocktail is the perfect way to start your meal. Served in mini martini glasses, each portion comes with delicately poached scallops, prawns and baby octopus tossed in a brightly flavoured dressing.

Croque madame and croque monsieur

Croque madame and croque monsieur

The French have a knack for turning even the simplest ingredients into a gourmet meal. Take the croque monsieur and croque madame for example. Served as a main course in La Table’s set lunch menu, these two Gallic takes on the humble ham and cheese sandwich are buttery, meaty and deliciously decadent. Both sandwiches are served with a side salad and, of course, French fries.

Roast of the day

Roast of the day

La Table’s set lunch always includes a hearty roast as one of its entrées. The meat changes on a regular basis but it’s always something insanely comforting, like the prime rib of beef, which is served with potato gratin dauphinois and roasted vegetables. It’s a must-order for all the carnivores out there.

Apple tarte tatin

Served in a cast iron skillet, La Table’s apple tarte tatin is topped with a quenelle of salted caramel ice cream, which perfectly balances the apples’ sweet and tart flavour profile. It’s also an indulgent portion that’s big enough to share.

Mille feuille

Mille feuille

This classic French dessert comes with two layers of delicately piped crème pâtissière sandwiched between three sheets of golden-brown puff pastry. Served with a side of raspberries, it’s sweet, creamy, tart and crunchy all the same time, making it the perfect way to end a meal.
