Though the name might suggest death by spicy Chinese food, this place is Maxims' pan-China gem. The light and airy colonial atmosphere is pleasant on the eye and the menu features all the favourites from other Maxims joints. Peking duck, sweet and sour pork, beef and scallions, and a wonderful Chinese cabbage served in superior stock are musts for any first-timer. Meal for two: around $400.
