Opening alongside sister restaurant Teppanyaki Mihara, Izakaya by K which is named after Japanese chef Yusuke Kitade will also be opening mid-February and offer contemporary renditions of classic Japanese izakaya cuisine in a cosy space and atmosphere. Signatures from the menu include a Wagyu beef pot rice with Miyazaki filet A4, fatty tuna tartare with avocado paste and marinated egg yolk, topped with caviar, chicken wing karaage, among other dishes. Set menus for lunch and dinner will be offered along with an a la carte menu featuring appetisers, tempura, skewers and more. The restaurant itself features another K: 'kitsune', or fox, which is the main theme for the restaurant’s design and interior.
