Thailand’s mega-popular boat noodle specialist, Thong Smith, has opened its first-ever overseas location in Hong Kong this March. Much like the chain's countless locations across Thailand, Thong Smith's Hong Kong outpost offers its signature jazzed-up take on boat noodles, served in an umami-laden broth simmered for eight hours with aromatics, and topped with garnishes like melt-in-your-mouth Australian Wagyu beef, sliced Kurobuta pork, and more. Plus, diners can also enjoy Hong Kong-exclusive dishes such as grilled pork jowl with papaya salad, stir-fried minced beef and braised tendon over rice, and fluffy steamed bread served with warm pandan or Thai-tea flavoured custard.
