Award-winning Okinawan gelato brand, Yanbaru Gelato, has officially opened its first global location at The Twins in Kai Tak. Named Yonna Yonna, the Hong Kong outpost crafts fresh gelato daily using seasonal produce and unique Japanese ingredients like Okinawan mulberry tea, tankan mandarin – a cross between a mandarin-pomelo hybrid and navel orange – and Katsuyama shikuwasa. Additionally, the gelateria offers crowd-pleasing flavours like premium Hokkaido milk, Iejima red sweet potato, and their award-winning orange vanilla mascarpone. The Okinawan brand serves its creamy gelato by the cup, but customers can also get their hands on family-sized tubs (500ml) to share with friends – or enjoy all to themselves.
