New Asia Pacific distribution company aims to promote sustainable and tasteful beverage consumption

There are numerous ways to help the sustainability cause to promote a healthier and eco-friendly world we live in. This hard-hitting headline has been a rising topic of discussion in the past few years, first with plastic straws riling up quite the stir, and recent documentaries outlining the dangers of over-farming and animal consumption. And while every step towards a greener goal is furthering the movement, Paragon Trading Asia decided to take on two social causes in distributing Phenomenal beWater, a sustainable solution to single-use plastic packaging and clean drinking water.

Helmed by chairman and CEO Christopher Liang, Paragon Trading Asia puts sustainability at the forefront by carrying the plastic-free water brand, beWater. With plastic being one of the biggest culprits realising the most damaging effects to the environment, one of beWater’s missions is to redirect water bottles to alternative water packaging. By packing water in 100 percent recyclable aluminum cans, it not only eliminates wastage (and a circular economy) but also only produces a minimal carbon footprint, making this format the future of water packaging.

Together with strategic partners and the world’s largest aluminum packaging and aerospace company, Ball Corporation, beWater is able to deliver sustainable solutions on a global scale. Having already won numerous awards for its initiative, the canned water is making waves in the Asia Pacific and around the globe. Seeing such an influx in interest, beWater has expanded to also partner with several leaders in top industries as aluminum cans can be recycled infinitely without degrading its molecular structure, unlike other materials such as plastic and glass. Phenomenal beWater has already amassed a great number of partners including national governments, hospitality groups, automotive companies, and fashion labels.

Aside from beWater distribution, Paragon Trading Asia also distributes world’s finest wines and spirits within the Asia Pacific region, operating under the name Paragon Liquors. While beWater is targeted to everyone socially conscious, Liang hopes Paragon Liquors will attract a slightly more refined audience.

Starting with approachable wines from New Zealand for everyday consumption to finer vintages with collectible value, the team at Paragon scour the world in search of the best bottles of spirits.
