Urinetown

Local theatre group Dove Tales brings Hong Kong an adaption of the award-winning musical satire Urinetown. As if the title is not enough to entice you, this production tells the tale of capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, corporate mismanagement and municipal politics, set in Gotham-like city where private toilets are banned due to a terrible water shortage. A hero emerges to combat a single corporation’s profiting from the situation and lead a revolution, all while singing show tunes.
