Sick of your standard Santa’s workshop? Never one to follow convention, K11 MUSEA has gone above and beyond this holiday season by designing an entire programme of artistic and family-friendly celebrations to mark their first Christmas. Already a hybrid space of retail and museum, K11 MUSEA has pulled serious inspiration from its fine arts background and collaborated with some of the world’s finest creative minds, from designers, dancers, choreographers, artists and performers. Here’s why a trip to K11 MUSEA should be high on your list of priorities this Christmas.

Five reasons why Christmas at K11 MUSEA wins everything this year

The perfect Instagram op, obvs

If everything you do is for the 'gram, then you’re gonna want to grab your best selfie light and check out the Galaxy of Creativity at K11 MUSEA’s Bohemian Gardens. Famed artist Stefan Beckman, responsible for some of New York Fashion Week’s most iconic runways, has transformed the space by creating a theatrical set-inspired interpretation of a dreamy winter wonderland. Eye-catching yet elegant, a small forest of glittering gold and amber trees has been set up for merrymakers to wander through and bask in the warm glow (while taking full advantage of that gorgeous soft light!)

A world-class live performance for the public

Yes, you read that right. K11 MUSEA has actually recruited over 100 skilled creatives, both locally and from abroad, to put together an incredible cross-genre production that features ballet dancers, acrobats, opera singers, beatboxers and a marching band. Already an homage to the Greek mythology of the Muses (it’s the “muse” in MUSEA), K11 MUSEA has extended that inspiration into their holiday programming. Cultural Muse Encounter tells the story of the four Muses - Art, Design, Nature and Fashion - who need to unite in order to spread creativity and goodwill to all mankind at Christmastime. The half-hour show is staged across multiple floors in the Opera Theatre, and is guaranteed to dazzle even the Grinchiest member of your party. Catch the performance on December 21, 2pm and every day at 3pm December 22 - 26.

Expand your artistic horizons

Nurture your inner culture vulture by soaking up the work of acclaimed artist Elisabeth Anisimow. At just 13 years old, this child art prodigy has already earned a reputation for her “Living Art” series, which blurs the line between masterpiece and reality by using live models in costume against painted, classical backgrounds. The result is a mix of Impressionism and performance art that’s innovative, fresh and fun to enjoy. Her latest collection, on display in the Christmas Muse Garden and designed exclusively to Hong Kong, tells the tale of a special cast of Christmas characters who find themselves transported to a magical fairytale land. Is there anything better than fine art made festive? You can catch her work throughout December, so don’t miss your chance this month.

Millions of dollars in prizes

‘Tis the season for giving, and K11 MUSEA has dug deep this year with $10 million in prizes they're giving away through their Christmas lucky draw. These aren’t your average stocking stuffers, either; we’re talking a penthouse stay at Rosewood Hong Kong, free round-trip business class flights for two, and $600,000 in shopping vouchers. Who needs gold, frankincense and myrrh when you’ve got gifts like that on offer? K11 MUSEA guests are eligible to enter the draw when they visit until January 1 - a great excuse to come back again and again and again...

Christmas Carols by Grammy Award-Winning Warsaw Boys Choir

Kids and parents can celebrate the festive season with Christmas carols by the Grammy Award-Winning Warsaw Boys’ Choir at K11 MUSEA from 22 to 24 December. The choir, which Classic FM has lauded for their formidable choral singing, was established in 1990, and gives approximately 30 concerts every year around the world, including in Italy, France, Poland, China, Norway, Germany and the Netherlands, with a vast repertoire from Gregorian chants to modern works. This year, they'll be singing a specially curated repertoire of newly arranged traditional Christmas carols, as well as numbers that will be performed in Hong Kong for the first time! The choir will be singing their hearts out on 22-24 December from 12:30–1:15pm and 4:30– 5:15pm.
