Time Out says

Hong Kong’s racing calendar closes 2025 with a spectacular finale. On December 10, Happy Valley Racecourse hosts the LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship (IJC), while December 14 sees Sha Tin Racecourse stages the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR).

The IJC brings together 12 of the world’s top jockeys in a four‑race showdown to battle for the coveted IJC title. The night kicks off with DJ Willy Monfret’s live music set from 5pm. The highlight of the night will be the special live performance by the international pop group Now United on the Beer Garden stage. While savouring global street food, racegoers can also enjoy comic‑style selfies at the IJC Heroes AI Photo Booth and themed Beer Garden packages.

Four days later, Sha Tin becomes the stage for the year’s most prestigious turf spectacle. Elite thoroughbreds will compete across four Group 1 races for a record HK$130 million prize pool. Global K‑pop legendary artist returns with an opening show, enhanced by the HKIR x Genso Digital Racing Experience Package.

Adding to the entertainment, Hong Kong producer‑songwriter XTIE will perform her internationally acclaimed track Rocket Science at Mezza One, while themed food stations serve multicultural delights, from French escargot pie to baked English Bedfordshire clanger. Racegoers can also join the Sha Tin Racecourse Delights prize quiz at 4:15 pm, with the first 500 winners taking home a coveted Romantic Warrior plush.

Stylish souvenirs await at Gift at Races, with jackets, caps, plush toys, tote bags, and even a 999.9 gold lucky charm. Stay after the races for Now United’s Sha Tin debut performing their latest hits.

This December promises a spectacular climax to Hong Kong’s racing year. Save the dates (December 10 and December 14) and  book your tickets now!
