Hypefest Hong Kong 2024
Update, September 26: If we’re visibly vibrating with excitement, it’s because Hypefest has announced that the headliner for the first day of the festival is none other than DJ queen and singer-songwriter Peggy Gou! Renowned for her sets that focus heavily on classic techno, house, and electro – as well as her impeccable style – her releases such as Gou Talk, Nabi, and It Makes You Forget (Itgehane) have become international hits. Gou has also dropped her debut album ‘I Hear You’ in June this year, along with its lead single (It Goes Like) Nanana, so festival goers will no doubt be treated to plenty of fresh, exciting sounds. As for other acts you’ll also be able to catch at Hypefest, there’ll be Okinawan hip-hop musician Awich, Ye- and Ty Dolla $ign-endorsed trap rapper Rich the Kid, South Korean indie city pop band Adoy, new Japanese boy band One Or Eight, and more. Early-bird tickets have already sold out, so general ticket sales now run at $680 for a one-day pass and $988 for the weekend pass. Debuting in 2018 in Brooklyn, the two-day weekend festival is finally reaching our shores this year. Contemporary lifestyle and culture platform Hypebeast has gathered a top-notch line-up of international musicians, headlined by Grammy-winning French electronic music duo Justice, who have recently made a comeback after an eight-year hiatus. Other talents who will be performing include bedroom-indie singer-songwriter d4vd, South Korean alt-R&B artist Dean, local post-punk band N.Y.
