Happy French Wednesday returns to Happy Valley Racecourse on May 13, 20 and 27, infusing Parisian romance into your midweek races. In collaboration with French May Arts Festival and French GourMay Food & Wine Festival, the Hong Kong Jockey Club offers a fantastic mix of thrilling horse racing, French flavour, live tunes, and culture – your chic escape from the daily grind.
The three Happy French Wednesday nights unfold with must-watch races like The French May Trophy & The France Galop Cup on May 13, capped by the Sauternes Cup on May 27.
Alluring Paris vibe: snap, sing, dance
The track turns full-on Paris with various Insta-ready moments. Delight in a French‑themed photo booth, feature wall, fabulous installations and a Happy Camera entrance, plus exclusive French-style horse plush available only at the venue.
Live music unleashes the magic on stage, with The Two of Us gracing May 13 and 27 with their infectious duo energy, while MsLolo dazzles with her vocals on May 20. Dancers in Modern Bardot or Mariniere Chic costumes sashay to the groove, turning the racecourse into a pulsing slice of Parisian nightlife.
Revel in the flavours of France
Beer Garden brims with French specialties, featuring cheese and cold cut platters, black truffle mushroom burrata toast, Provencal beef stew in red wine sauce, and ham and cheese crepes. Finish sweet with strawberry éclairs, and hazelnut Paris-Brest. Food trucks roll out Kronenbourg 1664 and Savoie wines on May 13 and 20, and Kronenbourg 1664 and Sauternes on May 27.
