Time Out says

Bookworms, get ready as the annual Hong Kong Book Fair returns this year in mid-July. The fair is themed around food culture and future living, and will feature plenty of food literature since both cuisine and reading are great carriers of culture. There will also be plenty of seminars with acclaimed writers such as Rie Qudan, Lindsay Varty, Osamu Okamura, and more; book launches; and a range of multicultural activities.

Since the Book Fair is celebrating its 35th anniversary, this edition offers some special offers for both Hongkongers and tourists alike. Visitors born in 1990 – the year the Book Fair first started – will gain free entry with valid identification. 500 special ticket packages will also be available, allowing five visitors to enter the fair for the price of three people. Lastly, those who spend more than $500 at the Book Fair can stand to receive a limited-edition tote bag and a special gift.

Don’t leave without stopping by the exhibition of eight tables by different artists, each exploring themes like food and healthy living, surplus and the future, table and etiquette, culture, music, and art. You’ll probably walk out of the fair physically hungry but mentally satiated. The Hong Kong Book Fair 2025 will run from July 16 to 22 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
