Time Out says

Eminent UK and Hong Kong multidisciplinary designers collaborating with local budding designers for the first time to create uniquely mesmerizing pieces.

Looking for inspirations for your future dream home? Then this one-of-a-kind furniture design exhibition is not to be missed. Taking place at the DesignInspire exhibition in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, ‘Project HK-UK: Design, Artistry and Craftsmanship’ will be presenting the first leg of its exhibition tour on December 5 to 7, 2019.

Showcasing a collection of original furniture works made by 18 groups of top and budding designers of the two countries, this will be the first-ever collaboration of tasteful furniture pieces between six leading UK furniture designer units including multi-Design Guild Mark winners and six HK multidisciplinary designers. From artistic lounge chairs, desks inspired by Chinese calligraphy, to Zen tea ceremony home stations, this series of trailblazing furniture pieces will be displaying a range of unique takes of eastern and western philosophies, aesthetics and superior craftsmanship.

The exhibition will also feature 12 teams made up of 40 young Hong Kong designers, from the fields of different design disciplines – interior, graphic, product, architectural; each of them contributing refreshing visions and perspectives, injecting innovative elements to local furniture design. Their mind-boggling and bold pieces made for this exhibition manifest the flexibility and dynamism of Hong Kong with a twist, which blends in modern aesthetics and tradition in different ways, channelling their creativity in furniture design. With novel concept, immaculate craftsmanship and cross-regional collaborations, this is a truly stunning visual feast for all design lovers.
