The 2025 instalment of Asia’s 50 Best Bars is just a week away, and Hong Kong’s bar scene is buzzing with excitement leading up to the big event. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s modern izakaya and bar, The Aubrey, is gearing up for the annual event by hosting an opening party on July 12, inviting some of the world’s leading mixologists to shake up sensational cocktails behind their bar. From 10.30pm onwards, The Aubrey’s bar manager, Steffano Bussi, will be joined by Kate Gerwin from Albuquerque’s Happy Accidents, Michael Chiem from Sydney’s PS40, Giula Cuccurullo from London’s Artesian, and Riccardo Lugano from Singapore’s Manhattan as they each offer two of their signature cocktails ($170 each). All drinks are served on a first-come, first-served basis, so grab your friends and prepare to have a blast.
