Without a question one of the greatest Irish novelist, playwright and poet, Oscar Wilde, whose works include The Picture of Dorian Gray and Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, is often celebrated for his flamboyance and doing things for the ‘asthetics’. Alexandra Ault, the curator of the British Library, which has amassed a large collection of Wilde’s works, leads a panel exploring themes integral to the writer and how his legacy has contributed to the LGBT community. Also joining Ault are director Dominic Dromgoole, who recently did a year-long celebration of Wilde plays, HKU’s Marco Wan and actor Tang Shu-wing. Free. November 4th, 8.30pm-9.30pm.
