Thrill-seekers can also catch daily gravity-defying motorcycle stunt shows, while music lovers can groove to live performances from top artists like Tyson Yoshi, Gin Lee, RubberBand, and more. Plus, there’ll be a family-friendly balloon charity run, where you can run for a good cause along the picturesque harbourfront.

We’ve got the inside scoop to ensure you make the most of your experience at HABFest. From the best times to arrive for optimal views to all the happenings taking place, our guide is packed with essential tips and insights that will help you navigate HABFest like a pro.

What events are available at HABFest?

This four-day festival is so much more than just hot air balloons; it features numerous must-see happenings. Don’t miss the daily epic motorcycle stunt performance, showcasing over 30 elite riders demonstrating thrilling jumps, daring obstacle courses, balance tricks, and freestyle stunts. What’s more, rare bikes like Hong Kong’s first-ever Ducati war machine and Andy Lau’s iconic motorcycle from the classic 1995 action film Full Throttle will be on display.

There’ll also be a massive Fun Zone area where kids can have a blast with activities like face painting, VR games, arts and crafts workshops, bubble shows, and more. If you’re up for a fun challenge, sign up for the AIA Balloon Run on September 6, with proceeds supporting Outward Bound Hong Kong. Participants can choose from one-km, three-km, or five-km races along the Central Harbourfront, set against a stunning morning balloon display, followed by the Balloon Fiesta, showcasing a parade of creatively designed hot air balloons.

As the sun sets, HABFest will light up Hong Kong’s skyline every evening with the Night Glow Show, where illuminated balloons come alive against the city’s enchanting nightscape to add a magical touch to your festival experience.

Which Hong Kong musicians will be performing at HABFest?

After the Night Glow Show, attendees can catch the nightly Music on Air programme, which promises an exhilarating soundtrack to accompany the breathtaking balloon displays. Each evening features a diverse line-up of top local artists, including mega performers such as Joey Yung, Gin Lee, Tyson Yoshi, and Leo Ku, along with renowned bands like RubberBand and ToNick. There’s something for everyone to enjoy as the sun sets and the melodies soar alongside the balloons.

The nightly performances kick off at 7.30pm, so definitely arrive early to secure your spot before crowds build up!
