Great restaurants delivering in south London
Peckham’s pasta dons are manfully ploughing onwards through you know what, offering home delivery as they put it ‘between the South Circular and the river’. It’s currently available Thursday to Sunday, but they promise a five-day-a-week service soon. Stick that ‘use by Dec 2017’ value spaghetti back where you found it, and order some decent carbs. This popular Indian restaurant has been thrilling locals with its creative cooking since 1985. It’s shut up shop for now, but continues to offer delivery on two tiers. You can either order from its regular takeaway, or go posh with dishes from its excellent restaurant menu. Find both here.
Berenjak is restarting service with a load of new sites across London. It’s a smart move for London’s prince of Persia. It will be delivering its signature koobideh and jujeh kababs, and a selection of mazeh including its mast o khiar and kashk e bademjoom.

Peckham’s smoky small-plates joint in the former ticket office of Peckham Rye station is still knocking out ace Sunday roasts for delivery within a three-mile radius. There’s a choice of 40-day aged belted Galloway rumps (£44), whole Cotswold chicken for two (£35) and Welsh lamb saddle for two (£39) - all served with beef dripping potatoes, carrots, January King cabbage, leeks and yorkshire pudding.

A brand-new Southern barbecue delivery service from the people behind Peckham’s ace Coal Office. Get ribs, burgers, mac ’n’ cheese and more straight to your door via Deliveroo, Thursday to Saturday. Yee-ha! Check their Insta for news.
The top-notch Japanese restaurant on the South Bank is still open for collections and takeaways (via Deliveroo). Highlights include charcoal-grilled miso-marinated salmon, Iberico pressa katsu don, prawn tempura and sea bream rice. There’s 50 percent off for collection and 20 percent off for deliveries.

Formerly known as M1lk Teeth, Juliets Quality Food in Tooting is still doing superior breakfast/brunch/lunches, 9am-3pm for pick up and delivery via Slerp and Deliveroo. Sweetcorn fritters, eggs in various formats, croques monsieurs and other lovely stuff. Check its Insta for updates.
M Manze is a classic pie-and-mash shop in Peckham, with two further outposts in Tower Bridge and Sutton. Its branches are delivering pie and mash across town via Just Eat and Deliveroo. Don’t forget the liquor, and maybe prepare a Chas & Dave playlist in anticipation. Gertcha!
Long-running Polish restaurant and bar Mamuśka is sending out gut-busting portions of kielbasa and pierogi to see you through. They’re doing 50 percent off for NHS staff (hooray!) and run a pay-it-forward scheme so you can gift a meal to a frontline worker (do it!). The home-delivery brand from JKS Restaurants (Hoppers, Brigadiers) is reopening its locations. Motu’s menu includes the likes of samosas, lamb seekh kebabs, saag gosht, and biryanis, as well as Ramadan specials nihari, haleem, chapli kebabs and chargah chicken wings.

‘MasterChef’ winner Tim Anderson’s Brixton Japanese ‘soul food’ restaurant has been forced to shut (which is a real shame, considering how much anticipation there was about it opening, back in the day). HOWEVER (as Gregg Wallace says in every sentence), it’s still dishing out and delivering via Deliveroo. Plus, it’s launched Little Nanban, a kind of lockdown essentials range, based on rice bowls (also on Deliveroo). Quaintly, you can also order over the phone, like in history. The (relatively) new Deptford Broadway restaurant is doing a Tuesday-Sunday takeaway of a daily main. There are veggie options available Tuesday and Thursdays and a Sunday roast. The week’s menu is available on Tila’s Facebook page.
