We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Immerse yourself in a massive gallery space filled with colorful light and shadow at Olafur Eliasson: Reality Projector, the free exhibition at the Marciano.

Scope out 160 pieces from 66 artists during Laluzapalooza. This annual juried group exhibition housed inside of the Soap Plant/Wacko complex showcases undiscovered, emerging talent including illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, street taggers and animators.

Grab something sweet to balance all of that delicious Thai-food spice during the Milk Bar Pop-Up at Night + Market Sahm. Pick up cookies and truffles from Christina Tosi’s soon-to-open Melrose bakery in front of the Venice Thai spot.

Saturday

Celebrate 100 years since the discovery of the New Kingdom ruler’s tomb with more than 150 artifacts on display in “King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh.” Advance tickets to the California Science Center exhibition are sold out, but let this be your reminder to reserve a pair now.

Listen to a free 10-hour classical music marathon as Bach in the Subways sets up all day at Union Station.

Usher in the springtime bloom with Descanso Gardens’ Cherry Blossom Celebration. The botanical garden offers afternoons tours of its about-to-bloom cherry trees; make sure to scope out the flowering camellias, too.

Listen to archaeologists discuss the recent discoveries from Teotihuacan during a panel talk at LACMA’s Bing Theater. The Spanish-language talk and screening coincides with the exhibition “City and Cosmos: The Arts of Teotihuacan,” which opens the following day.

Sunday

Trek out to the Anaheim Convention Center for the final day of WonderCon. The weekend-long fan convention includes pop culture-filled sneak peeks, Q&As, screenings and special guests—and plenty of cosplay.

Head to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to see Orpheus & Eurydice, in which members of the Joffrey Ballet dance as part of a modern operatic retelling of the tragic Greek tale.

Geek out with fellow TV nerds on the closing day of PaleyFest, the annual weeklong festival of exclusive episodes, clips and panel discussions with the cast and creators of current TV shows. Head to the Dolby Theatre in the afternoon for a Riverdale panel, followed by Stranger Things in the evening.
