Good Beer Week is set to take over the taps, kegs and pints of Melbourne, celebrating the best local beers, pubs and brewers from Saturday May 13 until Sunday May 21.

The Provincial will be hosting the Temple Tap Takeover Table Tennis Extravaganza. Every day there are great prizes to be won after battling it out paddle-to-paddle. They will also cap off the week with a demonstration brew with the head brewer from Temple on Friday afternoon.

Beer Deluxe Hawthorn will host the Pint of Origin ACT, which will showcase the capital territory’s finest breweries including Bent Spoke Brewing, Wig and Pen, Zierholz Premium Brewery, Capital Brewing and Pact Beer. There will be Q and A sessions with brewers and tap takeovers.

Over at Beer Deluxe Fed Square you can join in on Grandad's Supper, the Boilermaker Edition on Saturday May 13 from 7pm. The degustation dinner will be pairing bold brews with international spirits. Also from Monday to Friday Palate to Plate will be matching beers with lunch specials.

The Crafty Squire is set to host the Masters Of Craft on Saturday May 20 from noon. This action-packed day of workshops will see participants rotating through eight different mini-classes, all run by experts in their fields. Workshops range from learning to make Boilermakers (the delicious combination of whiskey and beer) to crafting your own leather and smallgoods. Along the way, you'll also learn about tasty food and beer matching; think cheese, chocolate and even beer-infused sausages. There'll be live entertainment, a brewery tour and your chance to chat with the brewers about what goes into the perfect pint.
