This family-orientated restaurant in Olinda is a warm, inviting inn with a classic pub menu. A favourite among locals, the tavern boasts a selection of 15 types of ales, lagers, ciders and stouts on tap as well as a neat selection of wines.
The Pig and Whistle gets its name from a long-term association of the terms “pig” and “whistle” with traditional pubs and inns. Kegs were once known as pigs and, in the early days, workers would often whistle while they worked to let their superiors know they weren’t drinking on the job. Who knew?
