Time Out says

Located in Melbourne's inner-west, Pride of Our Footscray celebrates the diverse and beautiful community around it, all in a space that is relaxed, welcoming and inclusive.

This LGBTQIA bar also acts as a performance and exhibition space, providing local artists and musicians a place to promote their talent and build a name for themselves.

As this is a community-run establishment, everyone is welcome to become involved with Pride. With a $500 investment, locals can become part-owners – a title that comes with various perks such as discounts at the bar, but also the knowledge that you’re helping to promote a true community space.

The menu reflects the community, with different sections representing the diverse nationalities and culinary traditions that have come together to create a distinct palette individual to Footscray. There’s Ethiopian, Vietnamese and Chinese food on offer, as well as pizza. You might want to consider making Tuesday your new designated night out as Pride serve up half price meals with any pint purchased.

Like any pub worth its salt they’ve got a pool table, letting you play a couple of games before you settle in for dinner. Not your thing? Then check out a drag show or test your pipes at karaoke.

And, of course, you can watch the Western Bulldogs kick around the footy all from the comfort of your bar stool, cold beer in hand. We should be very proud indeed that places such as this exist in our city.
