Pack up the kids, your bathers and your heart medication and dive head first into Adventure Park Geelong’s newest thrill ride, the Tornado.

This is not your average water slide, oh no. This one of a kind adrenaline-fuelled monster is the biggest and longest waterslide of its kind in Victoria. Forget sliding around in the backyard on an old tarp, the Tornado ramps up the excitement factor to 11, and the fear factor to about a million.

Grab your three bravest – or most gullible – friends and be the first in line to ride the storm this weekend as part of Adventure Park's grand opening. You’ll be flipped, swung, and rolled through 205 metres of twisting, turning water sliding awesomeness, before being plunged down almost eight storeys into the eye of the Tornado.

There are moments of zero gravity, near vertical falls, and just about everything you can expect from a high-intensity water slide.

This new attraction is part of a new wave of developments in the park, with new cabanas and sun lounges being installed. Once you’ve had your fill of excitement, take in the rest of the grand opening weekend festivities, with events including face painting, appearances from the Streets Paddle Pop Lion and a range of family-friendly activities.

Did you hear? Another world-record breaking waterslide has opened in Melbourne.
