Unless you're a pretty big deal in the world of spas, you might not be aware of the World Luxury Spa Awards. It's basically the Academy Awards of hot, bubbling water – and the best one in the whole world is officially the Peninsula Hot Springs, located right here in Victoria.
Last week, the Peninsula Hot Springs took out the category of mineral springs at the ceremony, which was held in Switzerland. We're not surprised, really; there's really no place better to unwind than in the warm, clean steam baths and saunas surrounded by the stunning Mornington coastline. Don't even get us started on the massages, either. "It's such an honour to be recognised amongst so many elite facilities around the world," said Peninsula Hot Springs board member Laurent Chappuis.
So the next time you dip your toes into the hot springs, just remember – this is some world-class water.
