Update: Missed out on the first (and second) round of tickets? Due to an insane level of demand, the festival has added a third session on Friday November 4, 5-10pm, with tickets going on sale Wednesday October 19 at 12pm.

For the love of all that is caffeinated and alcoholic, this is a beautiful day. On the weekend of Friday-Sunday November 4-6, Melbourne’s Meat Market will play host to the first-ever festival dedicated to the Espresso Martini – and we couldn’t be more buzzed.

The masterminds behind this event are the crew at Mr Black Spirits, a Melbourne-based distillery and coffee roasting house. At the Mr Black Festival of the Espresso Martini, they’ll invite coffee roasters from across the country, as well as bars and coffee shops, to show Melburnians the delicious possibilities of espresso, vodka and coffee liqueur. So far, coffee producers on the bill include Campos Coffee, Rushmore Coffee, MILKLAB and more.

Tickets are on sale now – with tickets to the Friday session going on sale Wednesday October 19 at 12pm. Your $25 will get you a Mr Black Coffee Liqueur and plenty of free tastings. You can bet there’ll be demonstrations, plus food trucks and even rounds of ‘coffee pong’.

Really, you know you’re just in it for all the delicious Espresso Martinis. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
